When people think about choosing the right faja, they usually focus on waist or hip measurements. But there’s one detail that often gets overlooked, and it can make all the difference: torso length.
Your torso length is the distance from your underline bust down to your crotch, and it plays a huge role in how comfortable and effective your faja will be.
A faja that fits your waist but not your torso can cause real discomfort. If the torso is too short, the faja may pull on your shoulders, dig into your crotch, back rolls or feel overly tight. If it’s too long, it may wrinkle, shift, or fail to give you the support in the areas that you need.
That’s why torso length is especially important for custom-made fajas—it helps us create a garment that truly works with your body, not against it.
Comfort = Better Results
When your torso length is correct:
The faja sits smoothly on your body
Pressure is evenly distributed
You can move, breathe, and recover more comfortably
You’re more likely to wear your faja as recommended
And that leads to better post-surgery support and overall results.
Why It Really Matters in Compression
Compression only works when it’s applied to the right areas of the body.
A well-fitted faja should provide support and compression exactly where your body needs it most:
Abdomen
Waist
Hips
Crotch area
When the torso length is incorrect, compression shifts out of place. That’s when problems start.
A faja that’s too short may pull upward, creating excess pressure on the shoulders or crotch. One that’s too long may fold, loosen, or miss key areas altogether.
Wrong length = wrong compression = poor results.
That’s why torso length isn’t just about comfort, it directly affects how effective your faja is and how well it supports your recovery.
Everyone’s Body Is Different
Two people can have the same height and completely different torso lengths. This is especially common for taller clients or those with longer upper bodies. That’s why relying only on standard sizing isn’t always enough.
Our Tip at Tributo
If you’re unsure about your torso measurement, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Torso length can feel tricky, and that’s exactly why we’re here to help.
To take an accurate torso measurement, follow these simple steps:
Take the measurements in underwear, without your faja
Use a soft measuring tape, not a construction or metal one
Gently lift your breasts so the natural fold is visible
Place the “0” point of the tape between your legs, at the crotch
Keep the tape flat against your skin, no gaps or floating ends
Hold the tape straight and vertical from crotch to shoulder
If you still feel unsure, you have options. You can:
Take a photo of your measurement and send it to our team, or
Book a consultation with our compression guru for personalized guidance
You can also leave a note with your order, and our team will carefully review your information to make sure your faja is made with the best possible fit in mind.
Because when it comes to fajas, the perfect fit truly starts with the correct torso
